Disabled Access

Access to facilities

There is disabled access to all the village facilities, with ramps at the entrances to the shops, café, restaurant and disabled toilets. 

Requiring a steep climb up a cobbled path, access to the castle is difficult for visitors with limited mobility. Please note that although it is possible (with some difficulty) to bring wheelchairs over the causeway, because of the nature of the harbour it can be difficult for wheelchair users to reach the Mount by boat. 

Sand Wheelchair

Pushing a standard wheelchair across the sand and causeway to reach the mount can be hard work, so a sand wheelchair can be hired for free (a small deposit required).
