Educational Visits

Expand minds outside of the classroom

We welcome school groups of all ages and are happy to advise on every aspect of your visit to make it a success. Topics you might cover include history, natural sciences, religion or legends.

One particular subject you might consider is the English Civil War, when St Michael's Mount was under siege between 1642 and 1646. The walls by the well, the watchtower and the gun emplacements on the route to the castle were all part of the fortification that took place in this period, and in Chevy Chase you can see some armour from fallen Roundheads who unsuccessfully tried to storm the castle.

Teachers, please contact Clare Sandry, our Groups Booking Manager, to discuss arrangements for a mesmerising school day trip: mail@stmichaelsmount.co.uk, 01736 710507
