When the tide is in, access to St Michael’s Mount is by one of the small motor boats which ply the short distance between Marazion and the Mount regularly throughout the day during the spring, summer and autumn. Entering the island’s ancient harbour by boat is an evocative way to start your day at St Michael’s Mount.
One way fares for the boat trip to the Mount are £1.50 for adults and £1.00 for children under 15 years of age.
The boats sail from three landings depending on the height of the tide. Please check with the car park attendant which landing we are operating from. From the car park, the landings are as follows:
Landing 1 - Chapel Rock - this is the large rock sticking out of the sea near the beach.
Landing 2 -Gwelva - go past the Godolphin Arms and look out for an alleyway leading off to the right, near the public lavatories.
Landing 3 - Top Tieb - proceed through Marazion, past the church, and look out for Leys Lane to the right. Follow the road then the path down to the landing.
