St Michael’s Mount will be a landmark photo opportunity as part of  the first day of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Route on Saturday 19 May 2012.

The historic route will start in Cornwall at Land’s End and finish in Plymouth and will see the historic torch carried through 20 towns and villages in Cornwall including Sennen, Newlyn, Penzance, Marazion, Breage, Helston, Bodmin and Saltash before crossing into Devon on the Tamar Bridge at the end of the day.

 Along the route, St Michael’s Mount and Eden have been chosen by the Olympic torch relay committee as photo opportunities for the world’s media.
