An island adrift from West Cornwall’s coastline
A cobbled causeway to St Michael’s Mount meets the pearly sands of Marazion, where there are two car parks within easy reach of the beach and slipway.
On Foot - the Causeway
At low tide, follow the footsteps of pilgrims and giants as you cross the historic causeway to St Michael’s Mount. Starting from the beachfront Godolphin Arms Hotel in the town of Marazion, it takes just minutes to walk across the bay from the mainland to the island.
Daily causeway opening times can be found below.
Tidal Information
The below gives information on causeway opening times where you are able to walk across to St Michael's Mount. If you miss the opening or closing of the causeway, regular boats take visitors back and forth from St Michael's Mount every day for a small fee.

By Boat
Hop aboard for a boat ride to the ancient harbour at St Michael’s Mount. At high tide during spring, summer and autumn, frequent motorboats putter back and forth between the Mount and three landing points along the shore at Marazion.
The car park attendant will inform you which landing point (either Chapel Rock, Top Tieb or Gwelva) to use according to the tide.
For information on tides or to get more detailed information on which landing point is in operation, please call 01736 710265.
Please note: occasionally boat operations are affected or cancelled due to adverse weather and sea conditions.
Boat Fares
One-way fares are £2.00 for adults / £1 for children
