Join our garden team for a tour of the sub-tropical garden of St Michael's Mount
2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 May 2019
Discover the species and uncover the stories that make our garden unique
For many of our visitors it is astonishing that a garden exists here, but despite the gales and salty winds, the Gulf Stream tempers the climate so that frosts are a rarity and the rock acts as a gigantic radiator – absorbing heat by day and releasing it at night, creating a microclimate in which all sorts of unlikely plants flourish.
Discover the species and uncover the stories that make our garden unique on a specialised garden tour with one of the four strong gardening team on the island. Enjoy an informative walk around the garden and learn about the Victorian walled garden, the sub-tropical plants, and the vertical gardening that the team undertakes to maintain the cliff garden.
