Outdoor garden activities for kids during the summer holidays in the Penzance area
Every Thursday during August, 2pm - 4pm
Junior gardeners are invited to join our Gardening Team and learn a little about our lush sub-tropical garden.
Kids will be able to pot-up a sempervivum – a succulent that grows in the St Michael’s Mount garden. The sempervivum succulent is commonly known as the houseleek, or the ‘liveforever’. The plants can be kept on a window sill or somewhere frost-free outside and we are sure our young visitors will enjoy getting a little dirty as they pot the plant, ready to take home where they can watch it grow.
Potting Up takes place in the Garden - FREE with Garden Entrance
Pick up a board, and a handful of pebbles and shells, and create some amazing pictures. Whether it be flowers, faces, abstract art - let your imagination run wild. The artworks are ephemeral, so bring your camera, take a snap and leave the pebbles and boards for the next person to get creative.
