Bring a face mask

In line with national guidance, we’re asking everyone (aged 11+) to wear a face covering in our indoor spaces and on our boats.

No dogs on the island

Dogs can’t currently visit (with the exception of assistance dogs). Please let us know when booking if you will be bringing an assistance dog.

On arrival

Check in

On the island when the causeway is open or at the boat landings when the causeway is closed. We’ll ask you to show a printout or electronic (phone) version of your ticket at the check in point.

Stick to the one-way routes

We’ve adjusted our visitor routes on the island, through the castle and around the gardens so that everyone can stay safe. We therefore ask that you follow the one-way routes indicated.

Follow good hygiene practices

You’ll find hand sanitiser around the site, and we ask that you use this. We’ve also implemented enhanced cleaning regimes in line with government guidance.

Keep social distance

While enjoying the island, please stay two metres away from others. We will monitor visitor numbers in the castle and garden terraces so that they don’t exceed our self-imposed caps.
